Primula Aurea Variegated

Primula Aurea Variegated in an 11 cm pot, selected for irregular yellow and lime-coloured sectors on green foliage.

Aurea describes the foliage colour here, rather than a verified registered cultivar. The species and flower colour are unconfirmed. Variegation is not confirmed stable and may change or revert on future growth. Photographs show existing leaf marks and damage.

Growing and care

• Position: A cool, sheltered position in light partial shade, protected from harsh midday sun.
• Water: Keep the compost evenly moist without leaving the pot standing in water. Avoid drying out in hot weather.
• Soil: Humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil or container compost with drainage holes.
• Seasonal care: Remove spent flowers and dead foliage. Check for slugs and snails around young growth.
• Winter: Exact hardiness is unconfirmed for this selection. Shelter the pot from severe frost and persistent winter waterlogging.
