What does variegated Anthurium mean?
Variegation describes visible differences in pigmentation between areas of plant tissue. Where different cell populations are maintained in a shoot meristem, later patterns can depend partly on how those populations contribute to developing leaves and shoots. Light and leaf quality
Variegated tissue contains less chlorophyll than equivalent green tissue. Plants therefore need enough productive green area and appropriate light, but increasing light cannot guarantee a particular future variegation pattern. Acclimate gradually to stronger exposure.
