Echinacea Green Twister – Variegated

Echinacea purpurea ‘Green Twister’ – Variegated, supplied in a 1.5 litre pot. The photographed plant shows irregular cream striping on its green leaves, alongside the green and pink coneflowers associated with ‘Green Twister’.

This listing is for the variegated foliage form. The green and pink flower colouring is part of ordinary ‘Green Twister’ and is distinct from the cream leaf markings. Variegation is not confirmed stable; its extent can vary between leaves and future growth, and reversion is possible. Flowering and foliage appearance depend on the season.

Outdoor care

• Position: Sun or light partial shade. Acclimatise gradually if grown under cover.
• Soil: Humus-rich, well-drained soil or a free-draining container mix. Avoid persistent winter waterlogging.
• Water: Water thoroughly while establishing and during dry spells, allowing excess water to drain.
• Seasonal growth: A deciduous herbaceous perennial that naturally dies back in winter.
• Winter: Ordinary ‘Green Twister’ is rated RHS H5. This variegated form has not been separately hardiness-tested; protect container roots during prolonged severe frost.
• Flowers: Summer flowering; deadhead faded blooms or retain seedheads for winter interest.
