Colocasia Violet Black Specter Variegated

Colocasia Violet Black Specter Variegated is a collector elephant ear offered as a growing plant in a 1 L self-watering pot. The plant photographed has contrasting yellow-green and muted violet-toned foliage with individual mottled markings.

Photographs and foliage

The first two images show the current plant. The final image is labelled Mother plant — reference only and shows the mother plant, which is not included. It illustrates its foliage appearance, not a guarantee of future colour or pattern. Variegation and leaf colour can vary between leaves and growing conditions.

Care

• Light: Bright, filtered light. Acclimatise gradually before exposure to stronger sun.
• Water: Maintain consistent moisture while actively growing. Monitor the self-watering reservoir and root-zone moisture rather than refilling on a fixed schedule.
• Temperature: Grow in a warm, frost-free position. Protect this collector plant indoors during UK winter.
• Seasonal care: Reduce watering if growth slows; do not maintain a full reservoir around an inactive plant in cold conditions.
• Feeding: Use a balanced liquid feed according to its instructions during active growth.
