Colocasia Jack’s Giant – 11 cm Pot

Colocasia esculenta ‘Jack’s Giant’ is a large-growing elephant-ear cultivar valued for broad green leaves and bold tropical form. This is a young potted plant supplied in an 11 cm pot, ready to grow on.

The photos show leaf and pot details. Mature size depends on warmth, growing space, watering and nutrition; the plant supplied is not a mature specimen.

Colocasia Jack’s Giant care

Provide warmth and bright light or light shade, with shelter from strong winds. Introduce plants grown indoors to outdoor conditions gradually. Use a humus-rich, moisture-retentive substrate with drainage and keep it consistently moist during active growth. Feed regularly while growing, following the fertiliser label.

UK summer growing and overwintering

Grow outdoors in containers during warm summer weather, or in a suitably bright, warm indoor space. ‘Jack’s Giant’ is frost-tender: move it into protected frost-free conditions before cold weather. Adjust watering to growth and temperature, reducing it if the plant becomes dormant.
